Sigiriya, an ancient Rock fortress in the north (5th century A.D.). The “Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World”, and the best preserved city center in Asia from the first millennium. Macro- and micro-hydraulics including a man made lake with a 8 mile (12 km) dam and a series of moats, as well as water control and retaining systems display one of the ancient world’s most sophisticated hydraulic technologies. These miniature water gardens were created 5 centuries before those at Angkor in Cambodia or Mughal gardens in India.
Met on arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport and transferred to Dambulla, evening at leisure, Dinner / overnight at Kandalama Hotel / Amaya Lake Hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and proceed to Polonnaruwa. Visit the Museum and the ruins of an Ancient city, return to Hotel for dinner / overnight.
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and leave to Kandy, enroute visit a Spice Garden. In Kandy visit the Royal Botanical Garden. Evening visit the Temple of the Tooth and a Cultural pageant performed by internationally reputed Drummers and Dancers. Check in at Amaya Hills / Earls Regency for dinner and overnight.
Morning visit the Tea Museum and leave to Nuware Eliya, through lush green carpet Tea Plantations, Water Falls, etc., en-route visit a Tea Plantation and a working tea factory. Check in at Grand Hotel for dinner and over night.
After breakfast leave to Colombo via kitulgala. Check in at 5* hotel, evening Colombo city tour.
Leave to Airport in time for departure flight. End of a Pleasant memorable tour.
