12 Day Tour

Sri Lanka is a small island in the Indian Ocean with approximately 65000 sq.km. in extent. This small tropical island has a high bio diversity. Since it is isolated from other countries this island has a high endemicity among its life forms. Out of the 3368 species of flowering plants 879 species are endemics while 57 out of 314 ferns are endemics.

Sri Lanka has more than 430 species of migratory and resident birds with 33 endemics ( with the new Owl). Most of the migratory birds can be found in the dry zone of the country in very large numbers while most of the endemics are in the wet zone. Sri Lanka consist a good network of National Parks, sanctuaries, forest reserves forest monasteries, home gardens and some plantations provide excellent birding opportunities.

Day 1

Airport – Dambulla

Met on arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport by our chauffeur and transferred to Dambulla, evening at leisure, over night at hotel

Day 2

Largest Cave Temple in South Asia 

After breakfast visit the largest Cave Temple in South Asia, best known for its well preserved paintings for more than 2000 years, then leave to visit the Namal uyana forest, return to hotel

Day 3


Morning visit the Sigiriya Rock fortress, one of Asia’s important archaeological sites dating from prehistoric times build in the 5th Century, with ramparts, moats, gateways, a palace on top of a 200 meter rock with well known frescoes, water gardens, boulder gardens are the oldest surviving historic gardens in Asia return to hotel.

Day 4


Morning leave to Polonnaruwa, visit the Museum and the ruins of an Ancient Capital city from 11th to 13th century, on , return visit the National park safari and return to hotel for overnight.

Day 5


After breakfast leave to Kandy, en-route visit a Spice garden, a Batik Factory, and The Royal botanical garden at Peradeniya, check in at hotel for overnight

Day 6


Morning at leisure , evening visit the Kandy city, the Temple of the Tooth and witness a cultural pageant performed by internationally reputed Drummers and Dancers, return to hotel for overnight.

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast leave to NuwaraEliya, through lush green carpet Tea Plantations, water fall’s, etc., en-route visit a Tea Plantation and a working tea factory, check in at hotel for overnight.

Day 8


After breakfast leave to Beach hotel via Kitulgala check in at hotel for over night.


Day 9


Morning leave to Galle, visit the Dutch fort and Lace factory, a Turtle hatchery and return to hotel.
