Kandy Sri Lanka
Kandy is a historic city located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka and is widely known as the country’s cultural capital. It was the last royal capital of ancient Sri Lankan kings and served as the seat of the Kandyan Kingdom from the late 16th century until 1815. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa)

Kandy Lake
Located in the heart of the city, Kandy Lake was created by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. It provides a peaceful setting for walking and sightseeing and enhances the scenic beauty of the city.
Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya

Best Season to Visit Kandy
- The best time to visit Kandy is from December to April, when the weather is relatively dry and pleasant. This period is ideal for sightseeing, outdoor activities, and exploring cultural landmarks with minimal rainfall.
- Visitors interested in cultural events should plan their trip around July or August to experience the Esala Perahera, although this is a busy season with large crowds and higher accommodation demand.
- The monsoon seasons, particularly from October to November, bring heavier rainfall. While travel is still possible, outdoor activities may be limited during this time.
